WELCOME TO
THE GAMES
In its forty-eight-year journey, the British Transplant
Games, has landed in Sheffield for the fourth time.
The Sheffield-based company Westfield Health have
been title sponsors of BTG for over a decade and
have played a key role helping to make Sheffield
2026 the largest Games to date. Sheffield is a
key transplant centre in South Yorkshire as the
Children’s Hospital provide stem cell transplants
and the Sheffield Teaching Hospital conduct kidney
transplants and stem cell transplants.
We thank all the many sponsors who over the years
have enabled this event to become a reality and this
year particularly mention Sheffield City Council,
Sheffield Hospitals Charity, Westfield Health, and
KidneyCare UK for their generous support. The City
Council have also enabled the Parade of Athletes and
the Donor Run to be visible activating the heart of the
city centre which will help raise awareness of organ
donation and transplantation.
